Phonogene

The Phonogene is an re-enactment of the work done in Paris,
1950 by Pierre Schaeffer.
I recreated a device that the pioneers of electronic music
where using in order to create their work and experiments.
With the Phonogene it is possible to transform sound
both in the frequency- and time-domain.
As an example I used a record from 1950
by Ella Fitzgerald and Louis Amstrong,
the popular music from that times.
The first example on 78 RPM, the normal speed.
The second is on 15 RPM, together with the phonogene.
